This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot confirm whether a warrant exists, recall or clear one, post bond, set up a surrender, or give legal advice. For any of those, contact the issuing court or the Presque Isle County Sheriff's Office directly.
Need Official Warrant Information?
Most warrant questions in Presque Isle County belong to one of four offices. Match the question to the office before calling, because the phone numbers are not interchangeable and the wrong counter will only send you onward.
- A misdemeanor, traffic, or preliminary felony matter: call the 89th District Court criminal or traffic clerk, the office that holds district case files and can confirm a warrant, a bond, or an appearance instruction
- A felony or circuit case after bindover: call the County Clerk, who serves as Clerk of the Circuit Court and keeps those files
- A support, custody, or family contempt matter: call the 53rd Circuit Court Family Division or the Friend of the Court, since those files are protected and handled separately
- A custody, booking, or county process question: call the Sheriff's Office, the county agency that executes process and runs the jail
- Resolving or clearing a warrant: speak with a licensed Michigan attorney and the issuing court about a recall, a voluntary appearance, or a bond
Have your legal name, date of birth, and any case or ticket number ready. The clerk opens the file by number, and a call without one takes longer.
Presque Isle County Court and Sheriff Contacts
The courts, the Clerk, and the Probate Court all sit in the courthouse at 151 E. Huron Avenue in Rogers City. County offices generally open weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., and the Clerk's posted hours begin at 8:30 a.m. Call before an in-person visit, because the county publishes no warrant-counter schedule.

The Sheriff's Office publishes no warrant line, no most wanted roster, and no separate surrender hours, so its main number is the correct starting point for a county enforcement or custody question.
When a phone call cannot provide what you need, the written route under Michigan law is a Freedom of Information Act request, and the County Clerk serves as the county's FOIA coordinator. Send a request that names the record you want rather than asking a question, by mail to the Clerk's Office, by fax at 989-734-7635, or by email to piclerk@picounty.org. The county ordinarily responds within five business days and may take one extension of up to ten business days. Investigative files, juvenile records, and sealed or suppressed material can be withheld or redacted.
